AgeVerif’s age-verification system has been positively reviewed and recognised by Germany's Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media - Kommission für Jugendmedienschutz (KJM).
This recognition is part of the KJM's ongoing evaluation of age verification solutions (Altersverifikationssysteme – AVS) that help ensure that age-restricted content is only accessible to adults.
In its report, KJM notes:
AgeVerif is an automated identification system that compares biometric data (facial age estimation). AgeVerif incorporates security measures that prevent any manipulation of age. It also offers the possibility of relying on identity verification (for example, a credit card check). In accordance with the age limit of 25 years, AgeVerif blocks access to adult content to users whose estimated age is under 25 years.
This means that for platforms operating in Germany (and in European markets), this recognition provides a solid guarantee: AgeVerif is not only a tool, it is a solution validated according to German standards for the protection of minors.
